Brampton Transit is pleased to announce a $15 discounted monthly pass for Brampton seniors.
If you’re a Brampton resident, 65 years or older, you can purchase this new pass beginning August 6 at all Brampton Transit terminals and facilities, and at temporary locations at City Hall and Gore Meadows Community Centre. To get the transit pass, Brampton seniors must have a valid Brampton Transit senior identification card and a PRESTO card. The pass is effective September 1, and allows unlimited travel for the calendar month. The $1 cash fare for Brampton seniors will also be available on PRESTO beginning September 1. Regular senior weekly and monthly passes will no longer be available.
Brampton Transit is committed to providing affordable transit, and serving one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Building on the Term of Council Priorities for Brampton 2040 Vision, staff will bring a report to Council during the 2020 budget process that will include options to implementing free fares for Brampton seniors.
