Meet our new Director of Marketing & Outreach, Rich Greene!
|
|
Born in Los Angeles CA, Rich brings a dynamic outlook to our new Director of Marketing & Outreach position. As a graduate from the University of Redlands and MIT, he has years of experience marketing and branding for various industries. Working for large companies such as Baker Hughes and Bank of America to the smaller operations of Cal Pacific Constructors and i.Foundry. Throughout his professional career, Rich has always been heavily involved in the nonprofit sector with volunteering for various organizations and giving back to his community. Outside of bringing a diverse attitude to the team, Rich enjoys coaching youth sports, mentoring those in need, traveling, and playing any sport that can challenge him.
Next time you're in the office stop by and introduce yourself. Welcome to the team Rich!

Early Childhood (EC) Tier 1 Training
The Early Childhood training will help you gain an overall understanding of early childhood development and the factors that influence developmental outcomes. The modules also address how participants in the training can use a developmental lens to support and advocate for the unique needs and treatment of young children who are in the court and welfare system.
The training is comprised of six modules; three online and three in-person (held at the CASA office in Monterey Park). Completion of all six modules are required as each module builds upon the prior.

Baby2Baby
CASA/LA has received a generous donation of “2 the Rescue Bundles” from our partner Baby2Baby. Each bundle contains clothing, blankets, toiletries and some toys. The bundles are arranged by gender and available for the children ages 1-12. These bundles are helpful for a child who has recently moved placements or the child of an expectant/parenting youth. If you are interested in claiming one of these bundles, please contact your advocate supervisor.
Scholarship for Latino Seniors
Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF), established by the White House in 1987, is an award-winning nonprofit that identifies, inspires, prepares and positions Latino leaders in the classroom, community and workforce to meet America’s priorities. This year is the 21st Anniversary of their national Youth Awards educational grants program! The Youth Awards program will award students who are the graduating Class of 2020 with up to $3,500 in educational grants to fund their higher education or to a community-based project.
