Attend The Free Showing Of “Suicide: The Ripple Effect” Film For Middle And High School Students August 8 At 1:30 PM

Please Pass the Love is pleased to present a special screening of “Suicide: The Ripple Effect” followed by a Q & A with Kevin Hines ( view film trailer). Kevin Hines is a best selling author, global public speaker, and award winning documentary filmmaker. In 2000, Kevin attempted to take his own life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Many factors contributed to his miraculous survival including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived. Kevin now travels the world sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness & the ability to survive pain with true resilience.

Middle School and High School (and College) aged youth are invited to attend a youth-only screening of Kevin Hines’ documentary on August 8th at the Iowa Events Center. This film is part of a global mission to help reduce the number of suicides and suicide attempts around the world. Through sharing stories of survival and recovery we are creating significant awareness of this health crisis, while helping people find the support they need to stay alive, heal and #BeHereTomorrow!

Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people in Iowa. Together, we can change that. We encourage you to invite any youth you know in 6th grade – age 22 to this event. Let’s join together in saying “You are not alone.” After the screening, Kevin will be at the Iowa Events Center to do a Q&A session with those in attendance. This is an event young people will NOT want to miss!
