"Yoga for your Liver"

Come join us for a special class, this class will have a little bit of everything, Flow, Restorative, Nidra, sound healing and you can hang out with us after class, we will have some snacks and beverages.

Workshop: "Going Deeper" Exploring the first limb of Yoga with Amy Diamondstein

This 2 part workshop will be spent exploring the first Limb of Yoga, the Yamas. The Yamas are a series of moral commitments/disciplines that affect one's relationship with others and with Self. During this workshop we will learn, discuss, and explore the Yamas, and set intentions for making them a conscious part of our Yoga Practice, on and off the mat. There will be movement and journaling so please wear comfortable yoga clothing and bring your favorite pen.

Pose of the month: Mountain Pose (Tadasana)

The mountain embodies the stability of the Earth element. In indian mythology Mount Kailash is the birth place of creation and the abode of Shiva, the patron of Yoga. The stability of the mountain allows us to cultivate Shiva's absolute stillness and serenity.

  • Improves posture and muscle tone, supporting the alignment of the spine
  • Teaches basic alignment principles, enhances body awareness
  • Strengthens thighs, knees, and ankles
  • Firms abdomen and buttocks
  • Relieves sciatica
  • Reduces flat feet

Contraindications and cautions:
  • Headache
  • Insomnia
  • Low blood pressure
Schedule Changes

  • Starting August 8th the Tuesday 7:30 pm Yin class and the Thursdays 7:30 pm Nidra Restorative class are back on schedule.
  • Starting August 4th the Sunday 4:00 pm Power class is back on schedule.
