Summer greetings from the Center for Irish Music,

We look forward to seeing all of you at the Irish Fair of Minnesota on August 9-11, the largest free Irish festival in North America! Be sure to head to the CIM Children's Stage, and support the Advanced Youth Ensemble's main stage performance on Saturday morning at 10:30am. Directly after that, many of them will jumping on the direct Aer Lingus flight to study and compete at the All-Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Drogheda!

A huge thank you to each and every one of you who contributed to our summer fundraiser. Your support helps us to continue handing down the tradition to the next generation of young musicians like Joe De Georgeo, who won the u18 fiddle competition at the Midwest Fleadh. Joe will be competing in Ireland next weekend alongside many other CIM students. Click here to see a video of Joe's 2018 performance at the All Ireland Fleadh!

Our 2019 Ensemble Summer Camp was a blast with 18 young players coming together to learn a tune-a-day from each of the four counties of Ireland, hang out in the nearby Newell Park and try a new instrument or two. Take a peek at some photos from the event on our Facebook page. Thanks to everyone who participated!

I look forward to seeing you at the Center for Irish Music Open House on August 25th!

Most importantly, Fall registration will be open soon - watch your inbox for an email, and keep an eye on our website for updates!
