PARTNERS IN PERPETUITY
Name: Martha Farish

Gann Society Member since: 2012

Favorite Island Place: In the springtime near Mountain Lake you will find a quarter-acre wet spot covered in large, primitive, bright cadmium yellow skunk cabbages. Hundreds of them reclaim once again a part of the earth they have “owned” for a very long time, maybe even since the time of bison!

Why I want my financial treasure to “rest” here, with SJPT: Orcas and these islands have been a wellspring for five generations of my family. I feel a deep desire to do my part to take special care of this breathtakingly beautiful place.
The Gann Society is a group of individuals who have notified us that they have provided for the San Juan Preservation Trust in their estate plans.

Protect these islands for generations to come with a bequest to SJPT.

This may look like the actual view of Beaverton marsh as seen from the fenced viewing area at the "turnout" (see map here ) on Beaverton Valley Road (on San Juan Island). Actually, it's our depiction of that scene as we re-created it in our booth at the San Juan County Fair.
