The Resurrection Development staff launched the school's newly designed website mid-summer.  Many thanks to the staff, parents and community members who participated in vendor selection, content updates, and feedback during the design and build phase.

Book Lists & Summer Reading

Online Bookstore
The Resurrection online bookstore, in conjunction with Follett, is available at .

Follett Virtual Backpack 
All Resurrection students are required to purchase the Virtual Backpack (Note: A small digital fee will be applied per student, per school year upon the first purchase of digital content for the school year.)  Once your digital items have been purchased, Resurrection will work with Follett to create accounts and provide students access when school starts. 

Students need to utilize their school-issued Resurrection email address so that they can readily access their Follett Virtual Backpack when school starts.

Wed, Aug 14  - Freshmen Orientation Day 1 from 7:30 am to 3 pm
Thur, Aug 15 - Freshmen Orientation Day 2 from 7:30 am to 3 pm
Fri, Aug 16 - Transfer Student Orientation from 8 am to noon
Fri, Aug 16 - Freshmen Retreat from 8:15 am to 3 pm

Fri, Aug 16  - Freshmen Family Social  from 6:30 to 7 pm
Fri, Aug 16 - Freshmen Mixer from 7 pm to 10 pm
Mon, Aug 19 - Classes begin for all students (Red Day)
Reminder to students: use Student Entrance, Door #8, off main parking lot.
Fri, Aug 23 - Fall Sports Parent Meeting at 6 pm in the cafeteria
Wed, Aug 28 - Noon Dismissal Day
Wed, Sept 4 - Curriculum Night & Parent Info Sessions from 6 pm to 9 pm 

Uniform and dress code information, including a link to  the Dennis Uniform shop, is  available HERE . Please note, uniforms are to be worn on the first day of school for all students.

Athletic News

Fall athletic tryouts begin the week of August 12 and 
online registration  must be completed by a parent before tryouts, and a current physical  must be on file in the athletic office.

Medical Forms & Emergency Contact Forms

If not already submitted, completed  Medical Forms  and  Emergency Contact Forms  for all students should be submitted as soon as possible.  By state law, a student may not participate in Physical Education classes, Dance classes, sports, or extracurricular activities if a completed physical/immunization record on file in the high school.

Seniors - Proof of Meningococcal Vaccine -
In order to comply with the State of Illinois, the Class of 2020 (Seniors) must submit proof of having received 2 doses of Meningococcal vaccine by October 15, 2019

2019-20 FACTS Tuition Management
All families are to register with FACTS for the processing of tuition payments for the 2019-2020 school year. If you have not already registered, complete the registration process HERE.

Academic Planners
The 2019-20 Academic Planner will be distributed to those who pre-ordered them during lunch periods on Monday, August 19th. A limited number of planners will be available for sale (cost is $6) beginning on Monday, August 19th as well.

Fall 2019 Adult Enrichment 

Darkness in the Light of Democracy
All adults are welcome to join Resurrection faculty member Mr. Mike Longo  for this adult enrichment course which will be held this fall on  the following  Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on  September 10 & 24 and   October 8 & 22, 2019. 

The cost is $50 pe r person and to register contact  or call 773.775.6616 Ext 136.

Resurrection celebrates Grandparents' Day on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 6 pm with dinner, entertainment, photographs and a memorable time for students and their grandparents! Tickets are $16 per person.  Any family member or  grandparent -like figure may join your student for this evening of celebration! Siblings and parents are also welcome!

Hunger Walk artwork

Northwest Side Hunger Walk

The annual Northwest Side Hunger Walk is an ecumenical effort by local churches and the community and funds will be donated to the following organizations: New Hope Methodist Food Pantry, which serve neighborhood residents on the northwest side Chicago; Catholic Charities, which serves the Chicagoland area; and Heifer International which serves the international community.

Families, confirmation candidates, parish youth groups are all invited!
