Endress+Hauser Canada Breaks Ground at New Customer Experience Centre in Burlington
Endress+Hauser has broken ground for its new $28 million Customer Experience Centre for Central and Eastern Canada. The 47,000 sq. ft. facility is expected to be completed by 2020 and will bring 40 new jobs to Burlington. It also endeavours to be the first privately owned net zero, carbon neutral building in Canada. Earlier this year, the City of Burlington declared a climate emergency, and so we are proud to support them in achieving this inspiring goal.

Province Adding More GO Train Service on the Lakeshore Line
Minister of Transportation Caroline Mulroney and Associate Minister of Transportation (GTA) Kinga Surma announced in August that Ontario is adding 84 more train trips and extending 65 existing train trips each week across GO Transit's network to bring more rush-hour, midday and evening service. Learn more.
On August 8th, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, joined over sixty guests at TechPlace for an exciting announcement. The $307,000 investment comes from the federal government with the intention to create an accelerator for women entrepreneurs.

The goal of the new accelerator at Haltech will be to help women entrepreneurs scale their businesses and reach new markets. The program will provide mentorship, skills training, and programming to help women grow their businesses. The government said final funding, which is being provided through the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES), is subject to negotiation of the contribution agreement with Haltech. Read more.
