For those of you who want to bring this very special workshop to the men in your company contact us to schedule one.

This is the Men's version of WMF®

Men all over the world have taken this workshop and have been surprised by the results.

The cost:

$40,000 for up to 14 men

We strongly recommend
this workshop be done in locations and
companies where WMF® has been held.

If you only continue to train women but do not also re-train men you just make women more frustrated.

Graduate Feedback; Feminism

Susan,

Thought I would share with you a successful outcome as a result of your Women Moving Forward® workshop.   I have a friend who was still with SCJ  and thankfully was looking to get out.    She received an offer from Kohler but the offer was significantly below what she was worth.   I thought about talking about this in your workshop and encouraged her to negotiate.    Seems obvious but as we discussed women don't normally think to do this.   She did make a counter offer.  The company met her every request.   She said had I not encouraged her she would've never negotiated and just walked away from the opportunity.

The benefits of your workshop can spread into unexpected places!

Thanks,

Carol

Similar to the Feminist bags I gave out at the WLR ®  last year, I also have a baseball cap that says Feminist (from my sister-in-law's boutique of course).  I love wearing it and observing people's reactions (men and women's) and even at times getting into conversations about the topic/helping shed some light on the definition of Feminism vs some of the crazy definitions people have made up!  It is disappointing how many women still don't get it....and at the same time encouraging about how many men are much more willing to embrace it!.............

United States of America v Netherlands : Final - 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup France
Equal Pay For Equal Work

Many of you probably did what John and I did; you watched the US Women's
Soccer Team get back to back World Cup wins!

Their Second World Cup win was somehow soothing to me. Maybe because

now they will finally get the same money as the US Men's team or as a friend
said "Hell no they deserve more then the men. The men couldn't even qualify for
the World Cup!"

So as we bask in the superiority that is the US Women's Soccer Team let's not
forget our sisters who are only receiving minimum wage.

Women make up 2/3 of the minimum wage & low wage workforce and 2/3 of workers in tipped jobs are women. The US federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour and it has not increased for the last 10 years. These poverty level wages perpetuate women's economic vulnerability, especially among women of color.

Female workers in developing countries are most at risk of losing their jobs to
the inevitable automation of most functions. The World Monetary Fund has
sounded a warning and produced a chart showing women overall losing jobs
2:1 over men to automation. This is not something we want to be ahead in.

So as we work for parity for the US Women's Soccer Team and ourselves
let's not forget to throw a lifeline to the women in a more vulnerable position.

Tonight I saw Norah O'Donnell interview a woman and baby son in a detention center as she waited to see if she qualified for asylum.  Norah asked where she was from and she said Venezuela.  She was a reporter and was being threatened by the current government so she did what I would have done, she grabbed her son and fled. She has no money and may not be allowed to stay.

As many of you know I have a special place in my heart for the people of
Venezuela who treated me with Dignity and Love in all of my visits to that country.

We must also remember the thousands and thousands of Women who have fled
their countries of origin and are seeking asylum in many of our countries.
They flee with nothing.

I know this because my grandparents' family fled from Europe
with only a few possessions and no money. I have the two wooden bowls my
great-grandmother carried across Europe to the port in Antwerp, Belgium
where they boarded ship to get to the US and have a better life.

So as we rejoice for the US Women's Soccer Team let's not forget our sisters
who need our help so they can rejoice with us as well.

Susan
