August's Featured Programming
The Ocean County Library is thrilled to host Water/Ways from
  August 19 through September 29 at the Toms River Branch. 
Water/Ways is part of Museum on Main Street, a unique collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, and the Ocean County Library.
Water/Ways, explores the relationship between people and water. The centrality of water in our lives including its effect on the environment and climate, its practical role in agriculture and economic planning, and its impact on culture and spirituality.

Buried Alive With the Will to Survive – From Devastation to Inspiration

Buried beneath the rubble of the South Tower, Joe Torrillo wondered what life could be if given just one more day. Miraculously found alive, Joe was buried again under the debris of the second collapse minutes after being rescued. Retired FDNY Lieutenant Joe Torrillo will share his inspiring story and his lessons on how to manage fear under the most horrible situations.
