Golf Tournament Volunteers Needed!
Medical & Dental Clinic Update

Dave Throckmorton and Dave Samuelson from Lakewood United Methodist joined Dr. Bob in painting the medical clinic room. We have a donor funding the tile for the clinic and the carpet in the second floor community space. Hopefully it will be finished in the next two weeks. Thanks to Cypress Creek EMS, we now have an AED machine in the building that will be maintained by them.
Grace Monge, sister-in-law of our faithful volunteer Gloria Quackenbush, presented Hope Center with this beautiful bronze piece she created, symbolizing the hands of Hope Center volunteers offering hope to the homeless. Gloria, Grace, and Grace’s husband Lou made a large dent in organizing both the clothing processing room and the hygiene storage room.
A HUGE thanks to Girl Scout troop #14585 led by Allison Bohn. The girls built and installed beautiful new shelving for our library. They also sorted, categorized and labeled our books. It is amazing and much appreciated!!
We are busy, busy, BUSY!!!
We continue to serve walk-ups new to the area. We are glad to provide guidance after making certain they are properly clothed and fed. Henry is also meeting with our guests one-on-one to help them obtain housing. In an effort to reach the homeless in our area, we created an information flyer. We distribute it to every homeless guest who visits and ask them to share with others. The Harris County Sheriff's H.O.T. Team is also sharing it with the homeless they serve.

Dave Throckmorton and Dave Samuelson from Lakewood United Methodist brought about 100 manna bags and we received a huge donation (two cars full) from Lyshunda Harrell-Gulley, who collected box after box of blankets, socks, shoes and hygiene items...all very necessary to our ministry.

Robert Tirone and others spent several days cleaning and organizing our kitchen; pantry, refrigerators, warming oven and more. Everything is spotless!
Thanks to a very gracious and generous donor, our third and fourth shower rooms are now complete. This is a great blessing and will allow us to serve more guests once the building reopens.

Willowbrook Rotary Club blessed us with a grant for a commercial refrigerator and commercial dishwasher. We are researching the best options to suit our needs. Thank you, Willowbrook Rotary Club!
Maintaining the property is an ongoing challenge. Gunny keeps the interior clean, but recently added the parking lot and power washing to his contributions. Little Ray is trimming hedges and spreading mulch. These two men show an amazing commitment to Hope Center Houston. God has made an impact on them through the Center and they are showing their gratitude.
