We are happy to bring back our popular Online Reading Group by announcing our fall line-up. In August we will read three selections from The Promised Woman. These selections will be available on our website. We will be accepting registrations until August 6. To register click here . After you register you will be sent the Zoom link and weekly reminders of meeting dates (August 11, 18, 25) and time (2 PM ET).
In September and October we will be reading excerpts from Chaminade's Message Today and Our Marianist Heritage . If you need to purchase these publications click here .
The  Online Marianist History Course  is an introduction to the history of the Marianist Family spanning pre-Revolutionary France through the death of Blessed Chaminade. This course is adapted from the Marianist History Course that is offered to novices in formation with the Marianist Brothers and Sisters. The content of the course is the same; we have simply adapted it for an online format. This course is divided into three separate three-month parts. Students will have monthly virtual classes via Zoom with Sr. Gabriel Bibeau, FMI as your instructor. Students are also required to complete reading assignments and to post on an online class message board. Click here to go to our webpage for more course and registration information.
(Registration for Part One closes on September 10).
The Marianist Social Justice Collaborative ( MSJC ) and NACMS have partnered to create five immigration themed Community Meeting Kits for your use.
Whether your community is meeting in-person or virtually, these kits are easily downloadable for your convenience. Each kit includes prayer, content, and reflection questions. Click here for access to these kits, previous content, and more information.
We continue to offer the opportunity for individual spiritual direction in our Spirit of Saragossa Retreat in Daily Life program.
Kay Tally-Foos Executive Director of TECOBOCA, recently completed this 5-month program and offered these insights on her experience:
"The Spirit of Saragossa Retreat in Daily Life gave me structure and accountability for my prayer life, reflection time, and ponderings. I found that my weekly direction sessions allowed me to slow down (this is difficult for me!) and have a thoughtful conversation around my commitment to the Marianists, my understanding of Mary and her role in my life and salvation history, and my role in the Marianist Family beyond my job as director of Tecaboca. I was fortunate to have a perfect match in a Retreat Director who both nurtured and challenged me." For more information or to apply click here .

Marianist Brother Hugh Bihl passed away on July 27, 2020. Brother Hugh's contributions to Marianist studies are well-known. Not only did he work for NACMS for many years, but he was also instrumental in the formation of young Marianist religious and Marianist lay communities in both the United States and Eastern Africa.
To honor Brother Hugh we have compiled some of his writings that we have available in digital format on our webpage. To read, clck here .
We give thanks for his life and his legacy. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord!
D id you attend Blessed Chaminade's Beatification?
In anticipation of the 20th anniversary of the beautification of Blessed Chaminade, Sr. Gabby Bibeau and Patti Gehred are interested in interviewing anyone who attended the ceremony and would be willing to share their experiences. We would then gather the stories and share them with the Marianist Family on the Sharing Our Marianist Story podcast. If you are interested please contact Patti Gehred at gehredp1@udayton.edu . Thank you.
Let Us Pray
Lord Jesus, you love us with an infinite love,
and you beg for our response.
Open the ears of our hearts
so we may hear your gentle pleadings
and respond with love,
without fear of preferring you to everything else;
for it is in the light of your face
that we will discover
what to do with our affections,
with our possessions,
and even with our egos,
so often overpowering.
Grant us the grace
of taking up our daily cross
and of following you
in peace, confidence, and joy.
Amen.
