Join HeartStrides for a socially distanced
evening walk and fundraiser!
Save the date!
During this pandemic, we know people are eager to get outside and are searching for ways that they can see friends while remaining safe, keeping risk levels low, and following recommended guidelines. With acres of sprawling outdoor space, our evening walk and live performance event allows you to maintain your distance and still have a great time. Our Candlelight Walk in the Woods fundraiser is a great opportunity to take advantage of the increased safety precautions that HeartStrides Therapeutic Horsemanship has provided while raising money for a great cause and having fun. Join HeartStrides for a socially distanced evening walk and live performance by the Heart Sparkle Players at Healing Hearts Ranch in Olympia, WA on Saturday, October 17th at 5pm.

Tickets are available now and will include entry to the walking path in the woods lit up by hundreds of tea-lights, hot cocoa or cider and a snack to enjoy, a live performance by the Heart Sparkle Players, and a preview of our auction items! Get your tickets today!
Our Commitment to Safety
HeartStrides' greatest priority is maintaining the safety of our community by going above and beyond state and recommended guidelines.

In lieu of a gala that was being planned when the pandemic hit us, we will be providing light snacks and a beverage station (hot cocoa bar and hot cider) at the fundraiser. Our event will begin at 5pm when community members and supporters are welcome to come and grab a drink and snack, join us for some discussion about our programs, preview auction items, etc. We will begin the candlelight walk at 5:45pm and will be promoting social distancing by having slight wait times in between groups who are walking (to prevent large group gatherings on the trail).

During the live performance by the Heart Sparkle Players, we will have tables and chairs set up spaced apart to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the property as well as a hand-washing station available outside of the barn. Masks will be required.

For more information, please see the safety protocols list below and visit https://heartstridestherapeutichorsemanship.com/events. For questions or concerns, please contact Program Manager Hanna Baus at h[email protected].

The following safety protocols will be in place for the event:
  • Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets with household members so they can be seated together and walk the trail together.
  • Guests are expected to include those in their group as the five members outside of their household they gather with per week, as outlined in Phase 2 of Washington's Phased Approach to reopening.
  • Groups will begin walking the trail in staggered times so as not to crowd the trails.
  • All guests must wear a mask.
  • Group gatherings at any location on the property are limited to ten people.
We are looking for sponsors and donors!
HeartStrides' Candlelight Walk in the Woods event is looking for sponsors and donors!

Sponsors will receive benefits such as recognition on our website and social media, press releases, and communications and will see their logos at the ranch.

For more information on sponsorship benefits, please contact Program Manager Hanna Baus at [email protected].

We are looking for community members who would like to donate items for the event or the auction. Some items that would be immensely helpful for the event include: borrowing tables/chairs (they will be sanitized before returning them to you!), clear string lights, hot cocoa packets, hot apple cider packets, battery-operated tealights and fall decor. If you'd like to help out please contact Hanna Baus at [email protected].

If you or someone you know owns a business, vacation rental, etc. and would like to donate items or experiences to our auction to benefit local "at-risk" youth and veterans please also email us today!
