HeartStrides' greatest priority is maintaining the safety of our community by going above and beyond state and recommended guidelines.
In lieu of a gala that was being planned when the pandemic hit us, we will be providing light snacks and a beverage station (hot cocoa bar and hot cider) at the fundraiser. Our event will begin at 5pm when community members and supporters are welcome to come and grab a drink and snack, join us for some discussion about our programs, preview auction items, etc. We will begin the candlelight walk at 5:45pm and will be promoting social distancing by having slight wait times in between groups who are walking (to prevent large group gatherings on the trail).
During the live performance by the Heart Sparkle Players, we will have tables and chairs set up spaced apart to adhere to the social distancing guidelines. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the property as well as a hand-washing station available outside of the barn. Masks will be required.
The following safety protocols will be in place for the event:
- Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets with household members so they can be seated together and walk the trail together.
- Guests are expected to include those in their group as the five members outside of their household they gather with per week, as outlined in Phase 2 of Washington's Phased Approach to reopening.
- Groups will begin walking the trail in staggered times so as not to crowd the trails.
- All guests must wear a mask.
- Group gatherings at any location on the property are limited to ten people.
