August is here and whether you are social distancing on a surfboard, reading a good book in a hammock on your porch or stitching away on a beach to meet the upcoming September 1st pillow and fabric backed purse or the stocking deadline on September 18th, you may need to stitch faster or not expect it in time for Christmas.
I know we are beginning to sound like a broken record, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic many more people are stitching and stitching a lot! We have many new customers and many of our regular patrons' "stashes" are actually dwindling. While this is a great for us, this is proving to be problematic for some of our finishers. They dislike disappointing customers as much as we do and because of this we have pushed up these two deadlines.*
So as of receipt of this newsletter
our deadlines will be:
Pillows & purses - Saturday, August 15th
Stockings - Saturday, September 5th
Many of you know our ornament and stand-up deadline was last week, three weeks earlier
than last year. We have been looking
for later finishing options on some items
but want to make sure they meet our high standards. They will be more expensive and
get increasingly so as we get closer to the Holidays.
Please inquire about this service if you feel you may need it.
*Bricks, leather backed belts, dog collars, key fobs and self-finishing jewelry boxes, etc. have later deadlines. Please see below.
