The Lisle Area Chamber is here for you and your business during these difficult and challenging times. We are continuing to offer free e-blasts to our members.

As additional avenues to promote your business, we are continuing to accept videos to post to our social media. Please email Jill a short video about your business, 2-3 minutes in length taken on either an iPhone or Android. We are also asking our members to provide any updates on ways their business is adapting to the changes in the business community. We would like to feature those testimonials in our upcoming newsletters.

Dear Fellow Chamber Members,

First and foremost, the entire Chamber team hopes you and your families are safe and healthy. As many of the Chamber businesses begin to re-open and work under our new norms, there is one thing that remains consistent – the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce remains committed to support the Lisle area businesses through these challenging times. Whether you are looking to reinvent your business or want to continue networking, the Chamber offers a number of new, innovate approaches aimed to help you. I encourage each of you to reach out to us and let us know how we can help! As I have always said, I am confident there are many more opportunities for our members to work together and if we think differently and work together as a team then we will remain strong. I encourage each of you to continue to think differently and work with fellow Chamber members to develop new business models, shared services or even partnerships.

Here we are in August already and businesses are open with the protocols in place that are necessary to keep everyone safe. These have been challenging times. We have offered a couple of virtual Multi-Chamber Networking Power Hours which keep our businesses connected in a different way. When is the right time to go back to meeting in person? There is no magic ball that tells us this answer. I like many thought the summer would be better and we could move on to normalcy. Yeah I am a dreamer. As I communicate with our business community and governmental agencies, I see that we are all working together as a team. We are in this together and we are moving forward. At the Chamber, we have moved our meetings to virtual platforms and are in the process of moving our Ribbon Cuttings and Business After Hours to virtual platforms. Our networking group, LINCT is continuing to do their meetings virtually on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. If you are interested in networking virtually with your fellow Chamber member businesses, please contact our Office Manager, Claudine Rummer for login information for each meeting.

The Lisle Area Chamber has moved to Lisle Village Hall as of July 1st. We would like to thank our morning shift moving team, Dan Garvy and Jon Pratscher of the Lisle Park District, and afternoon shift moving team Tom Thornton, his son and Kyle Richardson from Your Promo Partners and staff from the DuPage Pistol Shrimp Baseball Club. Our offices are located on the first floor at Village Hall. If you need to come in to the Chamber office, please call first before stopping by since we are still staggering our hours that we are in the office. You can reach us on our remote number (331) 801-0098. When you come in to our new office, please let the front desk staff know you are there to visit the Lisle Area Chamber.

We received many great photo submissions for our front cover photo contest for the upcoming 2020-2021 Membership Directory and Community Profile. We are in final set-up process and as soon as we get delivery we will announce the winner.

Enjoy these dog days of summer with a walk or bike ride. Stop in or contact your local neighborhood businesses on ways to support them during this time.
Multi-Chamber Virtual Power Hour

Great leaders know the power of partnership. Which is why we have partnered with area Chambers to bring business and community together for a Multi-Chamber Power Hour.
Guests can expect to expand their network virtually, make new connections, and discuss how business can succeed inside a pandemic. ONLY 25 spots available per Chamber on a first come-first served basis. A link to join will be sent out 30 minutes prior to the event.

Business Networking is Changing!

Join the Leadership In Networking Committee Team to virtually network for FREE with fellow business professionals as an additional way to network and promote your business through the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. This group is Chaired by Debbie Pawlowicz of Debbie Pawlowicz Group, RE/MAX Action. The LINCT meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Check the chamber event calendar for the times for each meeting.

Lisle French Market Open at PrairieWalk Pond!
The Lisle French Market is open on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. along PrairieWalk Pond in Downtown Lisle. There have been measures put in place to include social distancing protocols and to protect the health of the public. These measures include masking requirements, one way entry and exits, and social distancing. View the guidelines for shoppers and vendors below. Animals are not permitted unless they are service animals or are in carriers.

There is no fee for admission and there is free parking available in the Garfield Parking lot, along Main Street and in the Commuter Parking lots located off of Burlington Avenue.


If you are unable to visit the Lisle French Market, shop over 100 of your favorite market vendors at the Virtual French Market.

Julie LaFond
St. Joan of Arc

Julie LaFond is a retired teacher from St. Joan of Arc and she has worked in that field for 35 years. Her primary duty at St. Joan of Arc was teaching Junior High Language Arts. Julie has been a Lisle Area Chamber member for 14 years and has served on the Ambassador Committee for 13 years. She also volunteers her time with the Volunteers 4 Lisle. Volunteers 4 Lisle is the volunteer arm of the Lisle Police Department. Julie thoroughly enjoys volunteering for this organization.

In addition to her contributions as an Ambassador, Julie has worked on the Dinner Dance Committee, 5K Committee, Golf Outing Committee, Government Affairs Committee and she is the Chair of the Scholarship Committee. She enjoys being an Ambassador for the Lisle Area Chamber because she has the opportunity to work with great people throughout the Village in all lines of business.

Julie resides in Green Trails in Lisle with her husband Lee. She enjoys spending her free time with her three children and seven grandchildren. She also loves gardening, reading and getting involved in her community. She lives her life by these words, “Get involved and you will reap the rewards of helping people.”
