Chamber Challenge 2020
This years Sault Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Challenge was done a bit differently then we were use to because of the current COVID restrictions in place, however that didn't stop us from having a safe and fun filled day at Wild Bluff Golf Course in Brimley, Michigan. Rather then a "Shotgun" start for the Chamber Challenge we instead worked with the Wild Bluff team and scheduled tee times. Golfers were still able to interact and network, but in a safe distanced manner. A delicious box lunch was also served by Bay Mills Resort and Casino due to no reception after the tournament.

Business After 5
Due to the current restrictions in place and to help keep our community safe and healthy the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel all Business After 5's for the remainder of 2020. Executive Director Tony Haller will work with the businesses that had to cancel in 2020 due to COVID 19 and hopes to reschedule them all in 2021. If you are a member of the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce and would like to schedule a Business After 5 at your business please contact us here at the Chamber as Tony will be working on scheduling for 2021.

Ribbon Cutting
On August 6th, 2020 a Ribbon Cutting was held at the new Arfstrom Faunt Teen Foster Home on 3 Mile Rd. in Sault Ste Marie. This beautiful new 6,000 square foot build will give 12 kids a place to go to feel connected to someone and a safe place that they can call home.

New to the Chamber Newsletter
Welcome to Member News! This is the Sault Area Chamber of Commerce's newest spot in their Newsletter. This is where we can help our members share information about whats going on within their business or organization with our readers. Often times businesses or employees don't like to... "toot their own horn" that's OK! Let us do it for you! Some examples may be: an employee who was promoted, an award that an employee or the business or organization received, positive stats to report to the community, open houses or customer appreciation gatherings. Whatever kind of positive news you would like shared feel free to send it our way. Of course the Chamber does reserve the right to choose not to share depending on the material.
Welcome Dr. Marisol Seys D.D.S.
Cooper Dental is pleased to announce the addition of their new associate, Dr. Marisol Seys, D.D.S., who joins them after a year of practice in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Dr. Marisol completed her undergrad in Biology Health Professions in 2015 at Northwestern College (Iowa) and immediately attended dental school at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Her interests include hiking, exploring Michigan, craft breweries, and tinkering on a new project car with her partner of four years, Mason. She joins the practice September 1st, and will be seeing patients Tuesdays through Fridays. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Marisol to Cooper Dental.
