Oak Grove Culinary Creations and Pastry Chef Robin McCoy Crowned Champion
In July, Visit Temecula Valley recognized Oak Grove Culinary Creations Robin McCoy, Executive Pastry Chef and Director of Culinary Programs (Pictured) as the 2019 Xenia's Champion Culinary Award.

This award recognizes a locally owned restaurant or chef operating in Temecula Valley demonstrating an exceptional dining experience through its service excellence, innovation, culinary offerings, and community philanthropic activities. Robin has created an opportunity for at-risk and special needs youth to explore and excel in the culinary field. OAK GROVE PROGRAM UPDATE

Thank you to our MISTT Sponsor!
MISTT recognizes youth who have made significant progress in their treatment and education.

July 2020 winners were recognized youth from Dorm A and C for improvement on their peer relationships and communication. Two youth received the Triple Threat Award, being recognized with a personalized video for maintaining progress from their first MISTT award and working to tell the Tale of their Story on video.

Congratulations to these exceptional young men and women!
STEAM Program
Students participated in a STEAM activity recently learning about the science of bubbles! STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. For this project, students used engineering and math skills to design a 3D model in Tinkercad of a bubble wand. Students evaluated and revised their model according to feedback and observation. It was great!

Treat Day for Kids
Thank you to Oak Grove Board Member Soyna Linden and an Anonymous Angel, who continues to show tremendous philanthropy, for sponsoring a special frozen treat surprise on a hot day. The youth loved it! Cotton Candy Italian shaved ice was the flavor of choice. Thank you both for the special treat!

If you would like to sponsor a Treat Day or special activity for the youth, email Kristi Piatkowski or call her at (951) 677-5599 x2238.
Education Update

Mighty Oaks are resilient...we bend but do not break! This team is resilient, creative and hardworking!

We are so proud of all of our Students, Families, Teachers and Staff Members for their collaboration and efforts to help Students benefit educationally.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program added Music and other enrichment activities as well. If you are in need of support, or know someone who could use our services, we are here and ready to help.

Local Clubs Rally
It's exciting that one of our youth was graduating and transitioning into adulthood, and even more exciting that a few community members stepped in to help her get started.

A huge thank you to the De Luz Women's Club, Temecula Valley Women's Club and Temecula Sunrise Rotary Club for their generous support.

Not only did you help her get what she needed, you reminded her that she has a community that believes in her.
