"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." 1 John 4: 7,8

Dear friends and family of Bethlehem Bible College,

What a great privilege to greet you again at the end of our summer. Here, it has been not only hot, but also difficult. We are still living in the shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has crippled a major part of the world,
and it has certainly affected us in a major way. Some of the affects have been for good, and some have created difficulties. Life is no longer as it was before, and the 'new normal' is hard. This includes wearing masks, more cleaning than usual, and making sure that every spot is sanitized. This certainly is a challenge. However, as with any other difficulty, we shall overcome.

We take hold of the promise of protection from our Lord. Yet we don't act with apathy. Rather, we take responsibility and act carefully. This is especially as we are geared up for the new semester, with a good number of
students on our campus in Bethlehem. We want to be both good stewards of the gifts that God has given us to offer training, and, by His Word, to transform. Yet, also, we have to be careful, and act according to rules of the government. So, we realize it is not going to be easy. However, we do trust our good Lord to give us the strength we need, and we trust that, amidst all of these hardships, He will continue to use us to share His love, both locally and globally.

Blessings to all,
Rev. Dr. Jack Y. Sara

"When you meet with people that don’t have money for the primary necessities in life such as electricity, food, and milk for their babies, you learn not to take such things for granted."

Reaching out to Women During the Pandemic
“One of the things that we noticed is how much all of this touched the women’s lives. We observed a need for encouragement and hunger for the word of God among women, especially during this time."

Bible Live: Fruits of the Spirit
On our journey through the Bible Live of this month, we remember that when we are obedient to God’s will, we can be always fruitful.

Can Religion and Politics be separated in the ME?
It’s extremely difficult, if not impossible, to separate religion and politics in the Middle East today; and the future is bleak.
