New PARCplus: It's Virtual School+Camp!

With schools now scheduled to be virtual, we've heard from many of you requesting an option for your children going into the school year. Welcome to PARCplus, a mash-up combining a school day with a safe camp setting, which will include time for online learning plus art, exercise, homework, and more.
- We are awaiting final direction from NCDHHS on how we may proceed safely. Once we receive the green light, we plan to open on Monday, August 24.
- For children who will be in 1st-5th grade
- Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Cornelius Arts Center, 19725 Oak Street
- Registration by the week, $125 per child per week for Cornelius residents, and $175 per child per week for non-residents, with priority registration for Cornelius residents
- Maximum 30 children per week
- Laptops, headsets/earbuds, and school supplies required
- Limited scholarships available
- Registration for our lottery will open on Friday, August 7, at 8 p.m., and close on Wednesday, August 12, at 8 p.m.
- Family notifications will begin on Thursday, August 13

Intro to Paddleboarding classes are returning! Saturdays, August 22 and September 5, 9:30-11 a.m., with Lake Norman Community Sailing at Blythe Landing. Register for one class or both! $25 residents, $35 non-residents
Tai Chi classes have resumed on Thursdays, outdoors at Legion Park to allow for plenty of shade and social distancing! Beginner session at 9 a.m., intermediate session at 10:15 a.m. Call us about pro-rated fees for classes already underway that just started this week.

Adult Softball is back! Registration for the Fall 2020 season will now be accepted through All Sports Officials (ASO). Use this link for additional registration information. There will be limited space available for teams, so secure your team’s spot now!

Registration opens on August 11 for a four-week session of pickleball lessons designed to teach beginning players the rules and skills of this growing sport. Wednesdays, September 9-30, 6-8 p.m. at Bailey Road Park. $60/$45 RD. Hurry, space is limited! For ages 18+

Registration is underway for the fall season with Xtreme Lacrosse! PreK - 2nd graders can register for Saturday mornings and
3rd-8th graders can register for Skill Clinics on Saturday mornings and/or the 7v7 league on Sunday afternoons. All programs will take place at Robbins Park.

Great news: We will be offering a limited number of adult arts education ceramics programs to begin the week of August 17, one teacher-led and the others self-directed. Due to reduced class sizes and other modifications in accordance with state and local guidelines, class sizes will be limited to no more than four participants per session, masks will be required at all times, and no outside works will be permitted. Registration opens on August 12 at 7 a.m. for Cornelius residents and on August 14 at 7 a.m. for non-residents. Read more!

We are excited to start bringing back as much of our programming as possible in the coming weeks and months, with modifications as necessary in accordance with state and local guidelines.
