Thank you all for your continued support of The Los Angeles Rubber Group. This year has been quite a challenge and we are all looking forward to a better 2021.
Bernardyne (Deena) Gillespie Campana
2020 TLARGI Chairman
This is a follow up message from an announcement made at the February Dinner meeting. The board is proposing and making its final announcement for the dissolution of the Vice Chairman position from the Board of Directors. It's the board's shared opinion that positions for the Board of Directors and committees are becoming more difficult to fill. The role and responsibilities of the Vice Chairman can be disseminated among board members and committees without an adverse effect to TLARGI as an organization.

In accordance with the TLARGI R's Rules and Procedures the board has made a formal announcement at a dinner meeting and has followed up with a written announcement through the newsletter. The R & P's state that a vote be conducted at the next dinner meeting. The board has determined it will not be practical for that to take place. In lieu of a physical vote an electronic vote will take place approximately two weeks from now. We will ask for your response within a week from that time.

If you should have any questions or objections please contact any board member with those comments.
Thank you, 2020 TLARGI Board of Directors

Basic Rubber Technology Course
August 27 to December 17, 2020 (Virtual)

Typically this is a (in-classroom) 20-week course (comprised of two 10-week semesters); however, due to COVID, we will be moving to a safe schedule using a webinar format.   Webinar format will support virtual learning
Thomas Eugene LeClair

September 16, 1944 - July 13, 2020

The Vip Rubber & Plastic family is grieved to announce the passing of Tom LeClair. On July 13, 2020, surrounded by family, Tom took his last breath. The loss is massive, and he will be greatly missed.

Tom was the husband of Kathy LeClair, the daughter of Vip's founder, Howard Vipperman Senior. Tom met Kathy at a party and instantly fell in love. They married in March of 1968. Tom was deeply loved by his three daughters, and had 11 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He was devoted to his family, worked hard, and made everyone feel special.

If you knew Tom, you know he was very charismatic and witty. He could always see the humor in situations. He was really fun to be around.

Tom was the VP of sales at Vip, and was such a talented salesman. His customers were his friends, he always did what was best for the customer rather than looking to make a profit. He built relationships with his customers and brought in some of the largest accounts that Vip has. He was instrumental in the success of the company.

The family would like to thank everyone who has sent a kind message of condolence. It is truly appreciated.
Tom has left a void that can never be filled, but he will forever be remembered. His imprint on Vip is woven into the foundation of the company. We were extremely lucky to have him in our family, and we are proud of the life he lived.
