Eclipse Select Girls ECNL National Finals

The U-18/19 girls defeated International SC 3-2 in the Champions League Final to claim the club’s fourth ECNL National Championship and the first since 2014. Both teams were destined to meet in the final as the ECNL featured both teams in a preview prior to the start of the event as national title favorites. Both groups went undefeated in the regular season and deservingly played their way into the final. The title match lived up to the hype. Eclipse took a 2-0 lead by the 51st minute. International made a valiant comeback towards the end but Eclipse kept them at an arm’s length for the rest of the match without relinquishing the lead.

The U-13 girls’ magical run included a penalty shootout victory over FC Stars of Mass. Followed by a 2-1 upset victory over the number one overall seed Crossfire Premier. The 2008’s dramatic run in the Champions League came to a pause after the quarterfinals when Hurricane Elsa halted proceedings. The decision was then made to have the final four teams resume the remaining portion of the National Championship bracket at the ECNL Finals in Richmond Va. The G2008's matched up with Solar SC in the semifinals in which they advanced to finals with a 3-2 victory. They took LAFC Slammers all the way to penalties in the finals and finished as Finalists.

Eclipse Select Boys ECNL National Finals

The Eclipse Select Boys U17 and U15 teams advanced out of the ECNL Playoffs and qualified for the inaugural ECNL Finals that took place in St. Louis, Mo. The Eclipse Select B2004 drew STA in the quarterfinals to kick off the weekend. Eclipse topped STA 3-2 to head to the semifinals. In an exciting affair under the lights, the boys edged out Pateadores to reach the ECNL National Championship match. In a clash with Surf SC, Eclipse Select utilized a deadly counterattack to take a lead into halftime. Two goals late sealed the deal as the B2004 were crowned the first-ever ECNL Boys U17 National Champions!

The Eclipse Select B2006's got off to a hot start as they side-stepped a tough Dallas Texans side that took penalties to reach the semifinals. In a contest versus Charlotte Soccer Academy, the U15's season came to a close as they could overcome a second penalty shootout to reach the finals.

ECNL Overall Club Rankings

After an incredibly tough year dealing will all the restrictions and schedule changes in 2020, the Eclipse Select Soccer Club's boys and girls had one of the most successful seasons in club history as a whole. With two national champions, a finalist, three ECNL Finals qualifiers, seven ECNL Playoffs Champions League qualifiers, and 10 total qualifiers for the ECNL postseason, The Eclipse Select Soccer Club ended the year as the No. 3 club in the ECNL Overall Club Rankings for the boys and No. 6 club in the rankings for the girls! We are tremendously proud of everyone involved in reaching such incredible heights. We would like to congratulate all the players, parents, coaches, and staff for making it all possible!

US Club Soccer National Cup Championships

The Eclipse Select Boys U17 and U15 teams advanced out of the US Club Regionals and qualified for the US Club National Cup that took place in Denver, Co. The Eclipse Select B2004 and the B2006 defended their 2019 National Titles and brought home great hardware!
