AutoYoke Retires After 20+ Years
We are retiring our AutoYoke®, the first automated lighting solution designed for theatrical use, after playing an important part in professional lighting for over 20 years.

We brought the AutoYoke to market in 1999, as the first automated lighting solution designed for theatrical use, at the request of Broadway designer Brian MacDevitt. We formed an engineering team to develop the product to be a precision moving yoke designed to hold a Source Four that would give designers an incandescent sourced hard edge refocusable fixture. It was a niche that had not been filled in the moving light world, but was of critical importance to Broadway lighting designers.

PASS OVER Opens A New Season On Broadway

Now through October 10, see PASS OVER on Broadway, Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu’s new play, in which main characters Moses and Kitch talk smack, pass the time, and hope that today will be different. Evoking heartbreak, hope, and joy over its 95 minutes, PASS OVER crafts everyday profanities into poetic and humorous riffs, illuminating the unquestionable human spirit of young men looking for a way out.

Our heartfelt congratulations to the show's lighting team, led by Lighting Designer Marcus Doshi, for their hard work on this show, and for bringing back Broadway. We thank you for choosing QolorFLEX Dimmers to play a small role in this landmark show.
Behind the scenes at PASS OVER Broadway
"I’m moved to my core to have collaborated with such a remarkable group of people to make this play come to life. Suns coming up Broadway - we’re (re)opening tonight! Deep thanks to team lighting for making it all happen."

DMXcat Makes Troubleshooting Easy
Troubleshooting Robe Tarrantula with DMXcat (@cmy_guy)
Our DMXcat® system is designed for use by the lighting professional who is involved with the planning, installation, operation, or maintenance of theatrical and studio lighting equipment. The system consists of a small hardware interface device and a suite of mobile applications. Together, they combine to bring DMX/RDM control plus several other functionalities to the user’s smartphone for use wherever and whenever they are needed. Developed with input from designers and technicians, the DMXcat is an indispensable tool for lighting users.
"DMXcat is a super useful lighting tool, using Bluetooth to control fixtures via DMX or RDM via a smartphone app. It has a simple little DMX Controller, a complex fixture controller, an RDM utility, and a few other tricks. Being able to walk around and fix problems from the ground, not to mention single unit testing in the repair room as shown... It's great! 🤘"
