Objectives

  • Reduce recruiting workload on coaches and clubs

Timeframes
Athletes are eligible to sign a letter of intent:

SUMMER PROGRAMS
To our summer coordinators: Mary, Vinny, Noah, Gbema, Alex, and to all the coaches, trainers, organizers, referees, facilities, and everyone that made this summer's programs possible THANK YOU! We had an all-star summer staff team and you were just what we needed to pull it all off! We literally couldn't have done it without you. Amazing job everyone!
Summer Camps
Thank you everyone for making our modified Summer Camps successful! Each week we incorporated a variety of volleyball skill sessions, as well as classroom sessions and recreational activities, with the highlight of the camp being the World League Tournament at the end of the week. The campers were challenged by our amazing coaches to learn new skills and further develop their volleyball knowledge. We enjoyed seeing how volleyball skills and friendships developed throughout the week, and we wish all the campers the best of luck in the future. We would like to thank all the staff and participants who made these camps possible, and hope to see you all back with us very soon!

Beach Tournaments
Thank you to all the athletes that made it out to Volleyball Alberta's Youth Beach Tournaments this summer! It was great seeing so many teams at Provincials and very glad the weather held up so we could have one final awesome beach tournament weekend!! We hope all of the parents and coaches enjoyed the tournament series. Congratulations to all our medalists! Beach Programs
Youth Beach Programs: We had a great summer out at the John Fry Beach Courts, CBVA & at the Lethbridge Softball Valley Beach Courts learning about beach volleyball and improved on our ball handling, serving and hitting! Our coaches saw tons of improvement over the summer in all areas of the game. We hope to see everyone back next year for more skill development and league nights!

Adult Beach Leagues: Our Adult Leagues are wrapping up this week. Thank you to all the teams that participated in our Women's 2s, Coed 4s and Men's 2s! Congratulations to the winners!! Hope everyone had a blast.
- Noah Miller
TEAM ALBERTA
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Team Alberta program! We were very happy to have so many athletes return to the court, and we look forward to seeing many more athletes lace up their shoes for the coming school season. 181 talented and enthusiastic athletes were selected to the 2021 Team Alberta Training Centres in Edmonton and Calgary. Despite not having an official competition, the teams had many opportunities to train hard and learn lots over the past 11 days. Our coaches and sports science staff were just as excited as the athletes to be back in the gym and to share their knowledge.
The future looks bright for all our athletes and coaches! Thank you to everyone involved for making this a memorable two weeks. - Alex Donaghy
