August 2021 Newsletter

Dear MMAMTA members,

I can’t believe it is already August! I hope you all are enjoying the summer so far, as we approach the beginning of school activities.

I also hope that you have renewed your membership by now. If haven’t done so, please go ahead and do it ASAP.

Here is the link:

At this time of the year there isn’t much going on in CoMo in classical music, which should change as soon as school is back. For those who might be interested in soul, however, I wanted to share that The Black Pumas, nominated for 3 Grammys, will be at The Blue Note tonight, this Friday, August 6th.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your summer and a good transition to School’s Fall Semester!

Since the last Board Meeting in June, the plan has been to have auditions in person this fall. However, with a rapidly changing Covid-19 landscape and the unpredictable nature of future national, state, and local mandates, we may end up having to switch to virtual auditions. MMTA will continue to assess the situation and inform the membership as necessary. On behalf of the entire board, we hope you continue to stay healthy and safe, and best of luck in the upcoming auditions!
