Virtual Senior Center Programming
Programs are available to all senior activity center members and those 55 years of age and older. Programs are offered by all county Senior Activity Centers. Please check our online calendar for program updates and cancellations.
Chair Yoga With John Cochran
Mondays 8/2 - 8/30 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

Chair Yoga with Linda McGill
Mondays 8/2 - 8/30 from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM

Taught by Linda McGill, this class is designed for relaxation. You will experience deep, rhythmic breathing accompanied by simple stretches in a safe and comfortable setting. *Note: Class will not be held on August 16th.

Chair Tai Chi With Young Lee
Wednesdays 8/4 through 8/25 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM

Chair Tai Chi will help improve balance and flexibility. The majority of the exercise will be done in a chair and all fitness levels are welcome. Click the link to join at the time of the event.

Chair Exercise With Joan Coker
Fridays 8/6 through 8/26 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon

Do you have some physical restrictions that make it difficult to exercise? Take this free chair exercise class for some chair strength training! Joan Coker leads this class, which starts with a warm-up, including a seated joint warm-up. She will then guide you through a variety of seated and stationary standing exercises (using the chair for support if needed) that are designed to strengthen every muscle in your body!

Connecting More Meaningfully
with People Who Have Dementia
Virtual Senior Center Plus
Virtual Senior Center Plus is an engaging program for seniors with memory and or functioning challenges that may require assistance.

The hour and a half program is comprised of brain stimulating games and activities; it also has an exercise segment to increase range of motion; and allows participants socialization through the virtual platform.

Requirements include being 55 years or older, registering for the program, access to a Zoom capable device, and caregiver to assist the participant with the device.

Join us for this interactive presentation on how to reduce your caregiving stress and other difficult feelings during the holidays. This interactive program will cover:
  • Identifying signs of caregiver burnout in yourself and what to do about it
  • Managing challenging feelings during the holiday season when you are expected to be in a good mood
  • Why seeking help with caregiving before the New Year is a good idea
  • What to look out for as you spend time with older loved ones during the holiday season
