National Financial Awareness Day is in August

Join our back-to-back workshop session to observe National Financial Awareness Day. In one day, you can learn about different ways to address financial security. M&T Bank is presenting a Money Mentor Workshop and Robert J. Romano, Jr. Esq., will present about elder law topics, including power of attorney, advance directives, Medicare/Medicaid, and more!

Our Interns "Graduate" and Give Powerful Presentations

Our four Age-Friendly Teaneck interns delivered moving presentations at their Aug. 1 graduation ceremony, touching on important topics - the unaffordability of long-term-care, the importance of preventing social isolation, the harm of ageist stereotypes and the need to respect the lives and autonomy of individuals suffering from dementia. We wish the brightest futures to Ahmad, Kassidy, Kaydence, and Sanaya!

Thanks to Township of Teaneck Deputy Manager Tom Rowe for presenting them with additional certificates and to Teaneck Public Schools Supt. Barbara Pinsak, Asst. Supt. Kim Buxenbaum, Asst Principal Margot Todman-Mack for coming to cheer them on, along with Nick Campestre and Yvonne Witter of The FORUM at Teaneck High School

Local Doctor to Speak about Medical Mission to Ukraine

Dr. Raul Caceres will speak about a recent medical mission to the Ukraine border to help children with burn and trauma injuries and about the Tiwanaku Project, a similar effort in Caceres' native Bolivia. Caceras will also discuss his memoir, A Promise Fulfilled, proceeds of which support these efforts.
