988 Suicide Prevention Lifeline goes Nationwide

988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.  As of July 16, 2022 it was available to everyone across the United States.  Callers will be connected to a crisis center that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Suicide is the second leading case of death for young people between 10 to 24. Family conflicts and losing relationships can feel overwhelming.  Seeking out support can help make these changes manageable.
