Children's Eye Health and Safety Month
|
You can help raise awareness of children’s vision and eye health as kids head back to school. The key message is that healthy vision contributes to children’s school readiness, ability to learn, overall healthy development and ability to reach motor developmental milestones and that vision screening and eye care are essential components of a Strong Vision Health System of Care.

Staff Wellness Best Practices Guide
In collaboration with Coordinated School Health Coordinators across the state, TDOE SHAC Staff Wellness Committee, and a Coordinated School Health Focus Group, the Staff Wellness Best Practices Guide has been composed to help foster new ideas and collaborate among your colleagues. Should you have further questions about how a project was implemented, click the apple icon. The apple icon will take you directly to an email with coordinator contacts that have implemented the project successfully.
I will be working diligently this year to bring you the remaining seven other "Best Practices" guides to round out the eight components of Coordinated School Health!

COVID-19 Resources
NRHA updates Rural Vaccine Confidence Initiative toolkit To help rural leaders communicate vaccine safety and efficacy in their own words at the local level, NRHA has added new and updated materials to our Rural Vaccine Confidence Initiative, including website landing page copy, frequently asked questions, and more. These free and easy-to-use communication tools are developed around three specific audiences: hospitals and senior leadership, business and community partners, and whole communities.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) public education campaign, We Can Do This, recently launched the Pediatricians and Family Physicians Toolkit to help physicians increase confidence in and uptake of COVID-19 vaccines among their patients and in the communities they serve.
