Special thanks to all who took the opportunity this past month to learn a potential life saving skill! The class, coordinated by John Madden, Safety Manager, was one of the best attended we've had in the past 4-5 years. If you attended and did not pick up your certificate, they are available in Ken Neuman's office at the gift shop.

Part of the Youth Aviation club are now certified in CPR. Attending were Mary Allmon, Maverick Shannon, Kai Cazier, Jacob Gillett, Bishop Bradshaw Luanne Kneeskern-Hunt (mom), Josiah and Mercy Kneeskern-Hunt.

Memorial Day Events Honor EWM Members
The Faces of Freedom Park in Atascadero was the site of Memorial Day events where several Estrella Warbirds Museum members were honored. EWM Member, Dave Brooks was selected as the guest of honor and presented a very interesting and inspiring address. Laurie Smoot, EWM Board Member and wife of Sherm Smoot, was presented a wreath in his honor for service to our country.
In addition, the Estrella Warbirds Museum Honor Flight flew a missing man formation above the ceremony while Joel and Diane Chessler represented the museum manning the EWM Information booth.

This past month, we accomplished something many thought could not be done! With the help of multiple departments within the museum including Restoration, Parade Group, Operations, Curatorial and our Museum Board, we were able to bring the Ford GTBC Bomb Service Truck into the Brooks Building from restoration. Making room for this truck necessitated the opportunity to rearrange 90% of the vehicles in the Brooks Building to make for an easier ingress and egress of the vehicles when going to and from parades or special events as well as make more sense to the guests viewing the vehicles.
We were not done there!
We also moved the M-274 Mule into the gift shop to be on display when the guests enter the museum as well as moving the Gyrodyne QH-50D over to be next to our other drones near our missile display.
We now have an all new fresh lineup of vehicles!
No volunteers were hurt during the course of this venture but a few egos needed to be tempered! But all kidding aside, we were able to function as a large multi department team and were completely successful!
Dan Letlow, Gary Woodall, Greg Heydenreich, Howard Guillory, James Messineo, John Everett, Keith Dekker, Ken Neuman, Phil St. Martin (and his son),Rick Cimino, Ron Boyte, Ron Brooks, Scott Stelzle and Steve Foss were all among the supportive group involved in the successful complex moves. Thanks everyone for a job well done!

This 1925 Model T Tudor Sedan was part of Henry Ford's idea of mass producing an affordable vehicle thus putting the average working person into the driver's seat. From the first Model T in 1909 to the last in 1927, appproximately 15 million were built and this 2 door sedan would have sold for approximately $300.00 or about $4,500.00 based on today's value.
Henry Ford probably kept his plan in place a bit too long as other manufacturers passed him by with better engine and transmission designs as well as things such as self starting, which was a plus for women drivers and better electronics.
