Welcome to your August MWT Members' Newsletter

MWT Cymru Members' Meeting: 15th August

Our next virtual members' meeting will take place on Tuesday 15th August at 11am.

This is a great way to catch up with the MWT team and your fellow members. We hope to see you there.

As well as updates from us, our guest speaker will be Donna Davies, Employment Liaison Officer for the 'Communities for Work Plus' Programme (CfW+).

'Communities for Work + programme supports individuals to get into work. Working with employment mentors, employees are provided 1-1 mentoring support, tailored to the needs of each individual.'

We've invited Donna to share more about the programme at our next meeting. In the meantime, if you have any job openings, please share them with us or send directly to Donna at donna.davies@powys.gov.uk - even if the vacancies aren't in Powys, Donna can pass the information along to her counterparts in other regions.

Update: National Lottery Days Out Campaign

Thank you to members who responded to our email about the opportunity to participate in the National Lottery Days Out Campaign. Recap here for attractions / activities / experiences / guided tours.

VisitBritain had an incredible response from consumers, with vouchers being redeemed at a pace far beyond what they would have expected, so much so that the campaign has closed early, and no new businesses can participate in this specific campaign.

It's not too late to be involved in future campaigns. What now, if you missed out this time? The important message from VisitBritain is that businesses should be available on the VisitBritain Shop as an “always-on” mode, in order to be ready to take full advantage of any national and global promotions in the near future.
