SAS Fall Term by the Numbers
Greetings Lifelong Learners,

Now in our 85th year, Scarsdale Adult School is a proven source of quality, affordable adult education. Students return semester after semester for our award-winning classes, bringing our number close to 10,000 attendees on an annual basis. Serving Westchester and other nearby communities in person as well as online participants from around the globe, SAS strives to build a community of lifelong learners through its bespoke catalog and its hand-selected cadre of more than 80 world-class instructors.

This fall term offers stimulating new courses and renewal of fan favorites in a wide array of disciplines. SAS boasts an expansive selection of roughly 50 unique architecture, 50 art and music appreciation, and 10 history and culture, and current events and politics classes. Approximately 40 walking tours venture to historic neighborhoods, museums, and galleries in New York City and the tri-state region. 30 literature, film, and television discussion classes cover the classics to contemporary selections and writing courses help students hone their expressive skills.

Personal finance, aging, and retirement classes help those seeking a better understanding of health insurance as well as how to protect assets through advance planning while career and job search classes shepherd individuals through skill building to land the right job. World language classes at multiple levels and performing arts lessons begin again as do roughly 35 drawing, painting, knitting, basket weaving, beading, and other arts & crafts classes for enrichment and enjoyment. Fun continues with food and beverage classes, almost 20 fitness classes for those seeking to get in shape or stay in shape, as well as nearly 40 games courses in bridge, canasta, chess, and mah jongg.

Our in-person classroom settings are located in Scarsdale, Edgemont, and New Rochelle, all within convenient driving distance from parkways. Many of our online courses are being recorded with links sent to registered students for subsequent viewing on demand.

Comb through our catalog to find out why over 600 seats have already been reserved in our first few weeks of fall registration. I look forward to seeing you in the classroom!

Regards,
Jill Serling, Executive Director
