SCL Attends SUR/FIN in Atlanta to promote “Merit Status” for NADCAP Laboratory Accreditation for Chemical and Metallurgical Testing

Earlier this summer, SCL had the pleasure of attending the National Association for Surface Finishers expo in Atlanta, GA, where we showcased our high-quality independent testing services. Despite the sweltering heat outside, the conference environment was refreshingly cool and comfortable. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in this event each year, as it allows us to connect with new colleagues and reconnect with longstanding friends in the industry.

Following the renewal of our A2LA and Nadcap accreditations in ISO/IEC 17025 quality management and testing services, along with the honor of receiving Merit Status, the SCL team traveled to Atlanta to promote our range of testing services. At the expo, we highlighted our expertise in ASTM B-119 salt fog testing, coating weight and thickness analysis, microhardness testing, adhesion testing, and chemical solution analysis.

IEPA Class K Operator Test Prep Course 8/14 and 9/25:

Does your company have a wastewater treatment operator requiring IEPA Class K certification? An operator who holds a facility-specific Class K industrial wastewater treatment certification before 2019 must RECERTIFY this year. SCL is offering test preparation courses in 2024 to assist with refresher training. Our next prep class is August 14, 2024.  Register for SCL's Class K test prep classes before space fills.

Happy 84th Birthday, Tommy!

Last week, we celebrated the 84th birthday of SCL's hardest-working and most dedicated employee, Thomas (Tommy) Sanchez with tacos, cake, and ice cream. Since joining us in 1956 as a lab glassware washer, Tommy has been an indispensable part of our team, playing a key role in preparing our water sampling kits and performing many other vital tasks around the facility. We are deeply grateful for his unwavering dedication and loyalty over the decades. Lab life can't be all that bad!
