Welcome Miss Tiffany!
Tiffany Towne, aka Miss Tiffany, was recently hired as the library’s youth services program coordinator for children. Tiffany has worked part-time intermittently in the children’s library since 2015. During that time, she also worked as a reading tutor, classroom paraprofessional, and elementary teacher. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2012, and after a few years in the financial field, she returned to school and earned an elementary education degree in 2019. She spent five years as a third-grade teacher before transitioning to the library full-time.
Tiffany shared that she’s excited to build relationships with library families, watch children grow up with the library, and bring the love of reading into our community, especially to families who may not yet know what an excellent resource the library is.
Tiffany’s vision for the future of story times is clear and inspiring. She aims to concentrate on fundamental early literacy concepts and involve the entire family in the reading process. Additionally, she plans to introduce a literacy program designed to support families with children who are struggling with reading. With her background as a teacher and reading tutor, Tiffany is deeply committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience the joy of learning to read.

I’m excited to join the library team full-time and further contribute to the library's ongoing positive impact in our community. Books have always been a comfort to me, and I feel very strongly that literacy is the foundation of all learning. Focusing on literacy has been a priority throughout my career, and I plan to use my educational background to help more children and families foster a love of reading and learning at the library. | | | |
