Volunteer Center News: Teacher Kits

Donate. Volunteer. Sponsor.

"The extra supplies provided in the Teacher Kit bin was immensely helpful. I didn’t feel stressed about making sure I had enough dry erase markers or wipes, and I was able to feel excited about teaching! Thank you for the support in making this profession a little bit easier in Stillwater.”

-Teacher Kit recipient

Teacher Kits aim is to assist teachers in preparing their classrooms for student success. This year, Community Thread's goal is to outfit every new classroom educator in the Stillwater area with essential tools and supplies to start the year off right. With Stuff the Bus (led by United Way of Washington County-East) collecting school supplies for students, and Community Thread providing Teacher Kits, our collective efforts will positively impact the important work happening in local classrooms.

July Recap: Super Summer Block Party

On July 17, Thrive hosted the annual summer celebration. This year, the party was a Super Summer Block Party, sponsored by Artis Senior Living of Woodbury, and was truly a party to celebrate our entire community - from board members, to Thrive members, to volunteers, and everyone around us. With over 75 guests in attendance, it was a celebration for the books. Featured at the event included two food trucks, bubble magic, balloon art, live music, Horse Hugs, and yard games - there was something for everyone!

"What a party! I want to make sure I invite my neighbors and grandkids next year!"
