The program supports authentic, working partnerships between youth grantmakers and other youth who are creating meaningful projects for community change.

If you’re a rising 10th-12th grader and live in or attend school in Forsyth County, then you’re eligible to apply! YGA’s program runs from October through April of each school year.

The 2025-2026 YGA membership application is now open! Apply by Wednesday, August 27.

YWCA Teen Court Program

The YWCA of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County proudly hosts the Teen Court Program, a youth-led restorative justice initiative designed to provide first-time juvenile offenders with an alternative to the traditional court system. Through structured court sessions, trained youth volunteers serve as attorneys, jurors, clerks, and bailiffs—helping their peers take accountability for their actions in a supportive, educational environment. Participants gain hands-on experience in civic engagement, law, leadership, and public speaking, while promoting fairness and second chances within our community.
