USA FENCING INTRODUCES GOLD START PROGRAM FOR UNDER-18 REFEREES

Modeled on USA Hockey’s Green Armband concept, USA Fencing’s new Gold Start program recognizes and supports referees under age 18 who are beginning what we hope will be a lifelong journey in our sport. 

Starting this season, these young referees will be awarded a gold scarf or tie to wear with their officiating attire. The signal is simple and unmistakable: this official is learning the craft, and the entire community — athletes, coaches, and spectators — plays a role in helping them grow. Learn more here.

Fencers Club and the building will be closed on Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day.
