Holmes Bible College

August 2025

From the Desk of the President

Greetings from Greenville!

A new term has started and classes are underway. Though we are small in number, we feel great momentum building and we look forward to what God will do. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and support.  Your faithful friendship is certainly noticed and appreciated on this campus.

I was able to travel extensively over the summer months to many events in the IPHC, Church of God, and Church of God of Prophecy to promote the school. It was so encouraging to meet many alumni and friends along the way. Our team at Holmes would love to visit your church or event. We have an ensemble of singers and musicians, preachers, and others who will travel for the college so please consider us for any upcoming opportunities.

Thank you again for your dedicated partnership. Your giving greatly supports our mission to provide excellent education at a very affordable cost. May God bless you!

 Grace and Peace,

Rev. Kevin D. Sneed, President

and the HBC family

We invite you to join us for our “Vision for Education” service on Friday, October 17 at 11 am. Previously known as “Feast of Ingathering,” this is a time to celebrate the sacrificial offerings of IPHC Women for Holmes Bible College. Women’s Ministry leaders from across the southeast will present their annual gifts to the college and our students and staff are preparing a special service. Our guest speaker will be Rev. Sylvia Staten from Rock Hill, SC. A luncheon will follow for everyone in attendance at 12:30 pm in the Ellenberg Center. This will be a great day and we invite you to join us. Call us or click here to register for free. Also, please encourage your church to collect a “Vision for Education” offering for Holmes Bible College. Contact us for more information on how you can participate in this great offering.

Fall 2025 Term Opens

Online classes began on August 4 and on-campus classes began on August 6. We started well and celebrated with an opening convocation on August 11. Our enrollment is now 39 students with 8 residential students, 10 commuter students, and 21 online students. Three more students are already applying for the Spring and we are grateful for everyone God has sent to us to prepare for successful ministry. Pictured above is President Sneed with three new students: Luke from Georgia, Hannah from Virginia, and Jay from South Carolina. Alumni Gathered in Dublin, VA on August 23

After the annual IPHC Appalachian Conference meeting in August, several Holmes Alumni gathered for lunch and to hear from President Sneed. Everyone enjoyed a great afternoon of stories and fellowship.

We would love to organize more alumni events. If you have idea, let us know and lets work together to make it happen.
