MEET OUR NEWEST TEAM MEMBERS

Meet our Communications Manager, Chaunte’ Causey of Bowman, South Carolina. Joining PCC in January 2025 with a background in local television news, Chaunte’ leads all internal and external communications, from writing articles and managing social media to gathering stories at Digital Literacy Trainings. Inspired by a conversation with CEO Kathy Schwarting, Chaunte’ is passionate about addressing healthcare barriers in rural South Carolina. Outside of PCC, she serves as a local executive director with the Miss South Carolina and Miss America Organization, mentoring young women to grow in confidence, leadership, and communication.

Emma Thompson is the Finance Director for PCC. With a background in nonprofit finance, she joined PCC to combine her expertise with her passion for serving rural and underserved communities through broadband and telehealth. Originally from East Tennessee, Emma understands the unique challenges of rural life and the transformative power of telehealth platforms as a resident of St. Matthews, SC. Outside of work, Emma is a devoted animal rescue volunteer and backyard bird enthusiast.
