2025 Golf Outing – Sold Out for golfers!

We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 Golf Outing is completely sold out for golf tickets! Bus transportation will be available to and from the venue from the host hotel; however, a prepaid event ticket is required before boarding the bus.

A limited number of non-golfer tickets are still available for purchase—perfect for those who want to join in the fun without hitting the greens. Tickets will not be available at the door, and no one without a ticket will be admitted into the event. This ticket requirement applies to both golfer and non-golfer attendees.

This is also an amazing opportunity to feature your company—there’s still time to sponsor this incredible event, but act fast! Sponsorship opportunities are open until the end of the month, so don’t miss your chance to get your brand in front of a fantastic sold-out event audience.

Thank you for your incredible support and understanding—we can’t wait to see you there!

Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs

Sparky Update- pic & Q2 2025 PupDate

"Hello Pawsome Hooman,

Sparky here with a new update from headquarters!

The last couple of months have been beautiful here in sunny Florida. Spring is my favorite time of year because all the new bugs come out to play! But take it from me, don’t try to eat ‘em!

I overheard some of the staff and it sounds like they are gearing up for somethin in the Fall called the Mutt Strut to raise awareness on invisible disabilities. Did you know that hoomans who are paired with Guardian Angels Service Dogs have a ZERO suicide rate? That’s A-MAZING! I can hardly wait to git all trained up so I can be a really special dog and help a hooman like that!

I have bin working on getting ready to pass my canine good citizen test I’ll be taking in the future! This test covers my basic obedience skills that I was working on in and my ability to follow through with commands. They make the testing more difficult now that I have been practicing each skill set more routinely. My trainers add a level of difficulty by trying to distract me, but I try hard to maintain my focus. To be a service dog, I know I cannot allow things like other dogs, people, or noises to interrupt my work! Once I’ve mastered all those skills, I’ll spend more time learning very specialized skills to help a hooman. My trainer says I'm super sweet and I love to play!

Oh boy, I gotta run! They are calling me back to train. Again, thank you for your support and for making my journey to become a service dog possible. I just might save someone’s life!

Until we speak again hoomans - smell you later! :)"

We're thrilled to share that a national event with heart is coming soon! The 2025 National Mutt Strut hosted by Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs returns October 10–22. Get ready to walk for mental health, raise funds for lifesaving service dogs, and join a movement of healing and hope. Registration is open https://giveb.co/m/vzBVbl We hope you will join us!

Hope Rises at Home of the Innocents

What a meaningful day! On August 7, 2025 supporters and team members gathered to celebrate a significant milestone at the Home: placement of the final steel beam in our Kosair for Kids Complex Care Center expansion.

Before the beam was lifted into place, guests were invited to sign it, leaving their mark on this pivotal project. Their signatures will remain a permanent part of the building, symbolizing a strong foundation of community support.

Once complete, the expansion will serve 50 additional children with complex medical needs, providing them with both specialized medical care and a place to call home

National Student Challenge

On July 15th, the IEC Foundation kicked off our National Student Challenge "Wired for Success: Exploring Career Opportunities in the Skilled Trades and Electrical Industry", an initiative proudly sponsored by Generac. High school students received an introduction to safety gear, explored the electrical trade, engaged in hands-on activities, and had the opportunity to ask questions directly to current electrical apprentices. Special thanks to our local host site, Independent Mechanical, Inc., for supporting this impactful experience, and to the Will Allen Foundation for their continued partnership and commitment to youth career exploration. Inspiring the next generation of skilled trades professionals starts here.

Celebrating the Future of the Electrical Industry

The IEC Foundation is proud to recognize the outstanding recipients of our 2024–2025 Scholarship Awards. These talented students are the future of our industry, bringing passion, determination, and leadership to the electrical trade. Thanks to the generous support of our scholarship sponsors—ATP, Eaton, Graybar, and Wesco—we are helping remove financial barriers and opening doors to bright careers.
