Coffee & Careers was highlighted in local news for providing job seekers with free, personalized career support. The event gave attendees the opportunity to connect one-on-one with CSTB staff for resume reviews, professional headshots, virtual reality experiences exploring high-demand careers, and access to professional attire for interviews and the workplace.

Bay Area Program Hits Capacity as Teen Summer Job Searches Surge

Summer P.A.Y.S. (Preparing Area Youth for Success) connected Tampa Bay youth with opportunities to gain valuable work experience, explore career pathways, and earn income. With 1,500 applications received, the program demonstrated the strong demand for summer employment opportunities among local youth.

Apprenticeships are gaining momentum across Florida, creating valuable pathways to skilled careers while helping employers build and retain talent. Learn how regional collaboration, industry partnerships and workforce leaders are expanding apprenticeship opportunities and strengthening Florida’s workforce for continued economic growth.

MyJourney Summit

CareerSource Tampa Bay partnered with Hillsborough County for the MyJourney Youth Summit, inspiring students through career exploration, engaging activities and connections with professionals as they discovered opportunities and built confidence for their futures.

Career Services

The Hub Resource Series

In July, we began hosting free monthly resource events at our American Job Center location in St. Petersburg in partnership with The Hub, a community resource that provides counseling and healing services while helping individuals navigate and access essential support through personalized care.


Held on the second Tuesday of each month from 1 to 3 p.m., these events connect attendees with resources including mental health and wellness services, medical care, substance use treatment and detox services, housing and shelter assistance, food assistance, legal services, career and employment support, and other valuable community resources.

Veterans Services

VNG Expands to Pinellas County

In May, we expanded our Veterans Networking Group (VNG) to Pinellas County, bringing the monthly networking initiative to our St. Petersburg Center on the fourth Wednesday of each month. VNG connects veterans, transitioning service members, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses with career resources, professional connections, and industry leaders. Since the expansion, participants have connected with community resources and organizations in Pinellas County, including Coastal Primary & Wellness, Operation New Uniform, Allied Universal, Excelsior University, and Regions Bank.

Business Services

Bausch + Lomb Hiring Event

We partnered with Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, to connect job seekers with manufacturing career opportunities on Wednesday, July 29. The event welcomed 61 job seekers, including four veterans, who had the opportunity to meet with recruiters and interview on the spot. Stay up to date on upcoming hiring events that connect job seekers directly with employers and recruiters.
