Where has the summer gone, can you believe it’s August already!?! I guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. I hope you have some time to get out and enjoy some outdoor events. Summer is winding down and kids will be going back to school.
The Chamber is hosting some great Fall events so mark your calendars for Bottles Barrels & Brews event on October 10th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Museums at Lisle Station Park. With your ticket, you can sample craft beers, wines, and spirits and receive a commerative event glass. There will be food to purchase and great music to enjoy while sampling the different beers, wines and spirits offered. Tickets are available to purchase at EventBrite.com. Then on the morning of November 15th, the Chamber’s annual Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K will be happening in the beautiful Lisle Community Park. Register for the 5K at RunSignUp.com.
Be sure to check the Chamber’s event calendar on the Chamber website for upcoming Chamber luncheons, networking events and seminars. Think about joining a committee or two. There are a variety of committees to join and it’s a great way to get involved in the community, network and grow your business. Enjoy the end of summer!

August is a busy month at the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce with many new opportunities to connect, learn and network. This month is offering members countless opportunities to build relationships, strengthen your businesses, and engage with our community. Whether you’re networking with fellow professionals, participating in committee meetings, or attending community events, every connection helps make our business community stronger.
Chamber members are encouraged to participate in the Government Affairs Committee meeting on August 11th, the Multi-Chamber Progressive Networking Luncheon on August 13th, and Innovation DuPage’s “Seven Years of Impact” program the morning of August 20th, and another Progressive Networking Luncheon on August 20th. These events provide valuable opportunities to network, learn from industry leaders, and stay engaged in the business community. Check out these events for dates and times at www.lislechamber.com.
As we enjoy the final weeks of summer, we’re also looking ahead to two of the Chamber’s premier annual events. On Saturday, October 10th, join us for Bottles, Barrels & Brews, an afternoon celebrating local businesses with craft beer, wine, spirits, delicious food, and entertainment. This signature event is a favorite among members and the community and offers excellent sponsorship and marketing opportunities. Purchase your tickets HERE.
Then, lace up your running shoes for the Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K on Saturday, November 15th. Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or sponsor the event, it’s a wonderful way to bring our community together while supporting the Chamber and the Chamber’s scholarship fund all while promoting healthy living. You can sign up for the Turkey Trot at RunSignUp.com.
Thank you to our members, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners for your continued commitment to the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. Your participation is what makes our organization thrive. We look forward to seeing you at our August events and celebrating with you throughout the fall months.
