So no one in our community goes hungry.

The Ocean Shores Corgi Beach Party, a fundraiser for the Ocean Shores Food Bank, returns for its second year on August 22, 2026, from 9 am to 2 pm. Expect a beach full of short-statured four-legged dynamos participating in fun competitions such as corgi-themed costume contests, fluffiest corgi, and hilarious corgi beach races. These energetic, bossy, and irresistible dogs bring a lot of wriggling butts and wagging tails to Ocean Shores, making this fun-filled, family event a must-see on the coast for all to enjoy.

Whether you have a corgi, love a corgi, or just want to soak in the joy of watching a beach full of stumpy-legged corgis with big personalities, then this event is for you! This event is open to all – no corgi required to attend – to enjoy a summer day at the beach to help the Ocean Shores Food Bank. Corgi Beach Party will be sure to put a smile on your face and love in your heart.

Fueling Kids for a Strong Summer

Summer can be a challenging time for families, and the Ocean Shores Food Bank is here to help. Through our Summer Food for Kids Program, the food bank has been offering special “kid‑friendly” foods. This program continues on August 13 and August 27 for families with children ages 5 to 18. These distributions provide simple, healthy items that kids love, helping families bridge the gap when school meals aren’t available.

The Ocean Shores Food Bank offers “Limited Distribution” on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon. On a recent Saturday, a man and his young son stopped by for groceries. Newly arrived in Ocean Shores, they were relieved to learn about the services our food bank provides.

They told our volunteer they had been “living hand to mouth” as they worked to settle into their new community. They were genuinely grateful for the help. “Now,” the father said, “we can relax a little.”

Moments like this remind us why we’re here: to make sure every neighbor has the food they need and the welcome they deserve.

Save the Date - Annual Mini-Golf Tournament Coming This September

Save the date! Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the Ocean Shores Food Bank Mini-Golf Tournament, will take place on Wednesday, September 16th, at Pacific Paradise here in Ocean Shores. Tickets will be available soon, but it's not too soon to start practicing your swing and putting together your team.

Always a hugely fun event, the annual mini-golf tournament is not only a wonderful time but a great way to help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

August by the Sea

A Season of Generosity

The days are already growing shorter here in Ocean Shores, but there is still plenty of summer left to savor in our little town by the sea. The waves keep rolling in, families are gathering on the beach, and these waning weeks of vacation still hold moments of sunlit joy.

But summer also brings challenges for many of our neighbors. When school is out, children lose access to school lunches—and kids still need to eat. Add in the rising cost of groceries, gas, and other essentials, and it becomes harder for households to keep nutritious food on the table.

That’s why your support of the Ocean Shores Food Bank matters so deeply. Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every act of generosity helps ensure that families in our community have the food they need during these summer months.

Together, we can make sure no one faces these challenges alone.
