Director's Corner

Recently, I experienced a health scare—one that could have changed the course of my life. Yet through every moment of uncertainty, God filled my heart with an indescribable peace and the assurance that, regardless of the outcome, He would never leave me. His presence reminded me that my life is in His hands.

During those weeks, I spent much time in prayer and self-reflection, asking the Lord to search my heart and confirm that I am walking in the path He has prepared for me. His answer was unmistakable—a resounding yes. He reaffirmed the calling He has placed on my life and on the mission of Crisis Pregnancy Center: to save the lives of unborn babies, minister to women and families in need, and boldly share the Gospel, offering the eternal hope found only in Jesus Christ.

Over the past seven months, God has been faithfully opening doors and positioning us to make an even greater impact in our community. Every step forward has been by His grace as we work to reach more women, rescue more babies, and point families to Christ.

I am excited to share that we have hired a part-time Registered Nurse who will be trained to perform limited obstetrical ultrasounds. This is a significant milestone that will expand our ability to serve more abortion- minded women with compassion, truth, and life-affirming care.

We have also begun developing two new websites—one designed specifically for the women we serve and another for our faithful donors, volunteers, and ministry partners. These sites will help us connect more effectively with those seeking hope and those who make this lifesaving ministry possible.

In addition, we have been refreshing the interior of our main center. Our desire is that every woman who walks through our doors immediately senses peace, warmth, dignity, and the love of Christ in a welcoming, judgment-free environment. We are approximately 80% finished with these renovations and look forward to inviting you to an Open House this fall. We can't wait to show you what God is doing through CPC. Watch for more details in our September newsletter.

Thank you for your faithful prayers, encouragement, and partnership. Because of your support and God's faithfulness, lives are being saved, hearts are being transformed, and the hope of Jesus Christ is reaching families throughout our community. To God alone be the glory.

In His Service,

Desirée Miller

YOU are the hands and feet of Jesus

Destiny, pictured above with our client advocate, Annette

Destiny arrived at CPC in early 2025. She was pregnant with twins, struggling with her faith, feeling the weight of financial instability and working through a negative relationship with the father of those babies. Her light during those tough times was her mother and her immediate family. Her mother encouraged her to visit CPC because she was a client in the 90s and remembers the love and support she encountered each appointment.

Destiny recalls that first visit being “it" for her. "I talked with Janet about my struggles. She prayed for me. She offered me a bible. I went to church when I was a kid, but this brought me back. I gave my life back to God that first day.” She said it was something she had been wrestling with for a while, but every appointment since then has built her faith. "I am back in church-the church I went to growing up. I am even trying to get my church connected to this place so we can help people together.”

The support that Destiny has encountered at CPC has also pushed her to be that for other people. “I love to pray for other people now. I prayed with someone at a gas station last week and forgot to get gas!”

Tammy Minton

Since joining our team as the CPC-Belmont director in 2025, Tammy has been a tremendous blessing to our community. As a former teacher, she brings compassion and a genuine love for people into every interaction. Her caring heart quickly puts clients at ease, and it's no surprise that they absolutely love working with her.

Tammy consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of her role, even volunteering on her days off. She is dedicated to creating a place where every person who walks through the Belmont office doors feels valued and cared for. The pictures below show the Belmont office spruce-up and the vision she had for that warm, welcoming space.

We are incredibly grateful for her servant's heart. Thank you, Tammy, for making such a lasting impact on our clients, our team, and our ministry!

Thank You

Our office was bustling with all ages of volunteer support during the month of July. Thank you to the ladies group from Cramerton Church, kids from Grace Baptist- Gastonia, and youth from Grace Anglican Church! They worked the baby bottle campaign, helped prepare our monthly newsletter for mailing and packaged the 2026 Walk for Life packets.

Elevation Church-Belmont came out during their Love Week to help us with a much needed inside and outside cleaning as well as sprucing up our railings outside. They also blessed us with 2 pallets of baby kits and a donation of gift boxes for moms. We are so grateful for such supportive church ministries.

July also saw 2 more deliveries from Crowder's Ridge Camp in Gastonia. A big thank you to all Crowder's Ridge campers and families!
