Reyes Adobe Days Parade: October 3

For the first time ever, GHR will participate in the Reyes Adobe Days Parade on Saturday, October 3! Ranchers will be working on our float during Ranch Days, and we are excited to bring the GHR spirit to the community. If your Rancher is interested in participating—either riding on the float or walking alongside it for the 1-mile route to represent GHR—please email Jeni@goldenheartranch.org

Please note that 1:1 support is not provided during the parade. Ranchers must be able to participate independently within GHR’s 1:3 staffing ratio or provide their own support person.

What an incredible 8 weeks of summer adventures! Ranchers enjoyed beach days, arcades, water parks, movies, the Rainforest Cafe, a Sony Pictures Studio Tour, a train ride, and plenty of fun right here at the Ranch. We spent days swimming in the pool, visiting with reptiles, creating art, dancing, and making memories together. Summer was so much fun!

We transition back to our regular Ranch Days schedule on Monday, August 17. Please visit our Ranch Days webpage for additional details about upcoming activities, outings, and weekly schedules.

Please note that all GHR programs will be closed Monday, September 7–Friday, September 11. Our team uses these closure weeks to prepare and plan for the upcoming months, complete necessary projects around the Ranch, and get everything ready for another great season.

New GHR Recycling Program ♻️

We’re excited to launch a new GHR Recycling Program! We’ll be collecting recyclable items labeled with CRV(California Redemption Value), and our Ranchers will take the collected items to a local recycling center on a monthly basis—or potentially weekly if we receive enough donations.

The funds earned from recycling will go directly back toward supporting GHR programs and Rancher experiences.This is a great opportunity for Ranchers to practice real-world skills while giving back to our community!

Have CRV items to donate? Bring them with you at drop-off or leave them for us at pick-up each day. We’ll take care of the rest!

Updates for Ranchers with 1:1 Supports

For Ranchers who attend GHR with a 1:1 support person, we have made some updates to our outside support policies and required paperwork. All outside support persons are required to complete the updated support contract and required documentation before providing support at GHR.

Please review and complete the updated Outside Support Contract to ensure all paperwork is current.

Cook, Create, and Stay in Shape with the South Bay Evening Social Club! Each Thursday Evening Ranchers will engage in various activities aimed at improving social, life, and community based skills.

SOUTH BAY JULY - DECEMBER CALENDAR

The South Bay Evening Social Club has been full of fun, creativity, and connection these past few weeks!

In Art Club, Ranchers worked with different textures and patterns to mod lodge a self portrait. In the most recent Art Club, Ranchers decorated mason jar candle holders with dried flowers.

Nikki with Sacred Spectrum Dance led the Ranchers in qigong and reflexology.
