Shoe Drive to Benefit Salem Community College Scholarship Fund

Bring us your shoes! The SCC Alumni Association Shoe Drive is off to a great start with over 10 percent of our goal met in the first week. We plan to collect 2,500 pairs of gently worn and new shoes by mid-October. Proceeds will benefit the Association’s scholarship fund supporting a current SCC student. All donated shoes will then be redistributed by Funds2orgs throughout its network of small business partners in developing countries.

Donate your gently used or new shoes at the Chamber of Commerce office, 429 Hollywood Ave., Carneys Point (across the street from our campus), Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Find additional collection boxes at all Pennsville National Bank locations and on the SCC campus – the Reggie Smith Student Union (next to the Student Accounts window) and in the rear of the Davidow Lobby (near the Distinguished Alumni photo gallery). Email Bill Clark at bclark@salemcc.edu for more details.  #ShoeDrive fundraiser

Salem Yuletide Tour of Historic Homes

SALEM MAIN STREET

36TH ANNUAL YULETIDE TOUR OF HISTORIC SALEM N.J.

December 2nd, 2023, 1pm-6pm rain or shine

Dear Merchants and Friends,

We’re busy preparing for this year’s Yuletide tour and your advertisement plays a significant role in planning a successful tour day. Most businesses feature an ad that includes a special or an event they’ll host the day of the tour. Not only will your ad go in the hands of hundreds of visitors receiving the self-guided tour book but also the tour committee will advertise each ad on our FB page. All a great networking opportunity for our local businesses.

To place your ad in this year’s tour book, send check payable to Salem Main Street and mail to: Virginia Jared 40 Market St. Salem NJ 08079. Send your PDF ready ad to jaredvirginia@yahoo.com deadline 9-30-23

Full page ad (4.5 by 7.5) $80

½ page ad (4.5 by 3.75) $45

This year’s tour will feature the Woodstown Central Railroad who’ll have Santa himself on the train and offer a 30-minute Ride on the Rails. We will also host Salem Oak Vineyards, a live Nativity Scene, Revolutionary Reenactors, Carolers, over 20 locations to tour with more being planned. Of course, all planning requires money, and your ad will help visitors to have a great experience in our little town of Salem. Each year we target a special project in the community. This year we will make repairs to the historic Swedish Cabin on Market St.

Thank you,

Virginia Ahl-Jared
