Coach Cheek's JV Volleyball Update
Everyone on the team has been awesome. Great attitudes and very coachable. Ray Runnels’ serve has continued to improve. She and Daz Dowell made a lot of great serves in our last game. Emma Blazer, Britney Baker and Allison Holt are having a great season. They are great all around players for us and their leadership has been even better.

Fire Drills, Lockdown Drills and excellent progress in the cafeteria!
Fire Drills, Lockdown Drills, and excellent progress in the cafeteria! The students did a great job practicing drills. The cafeteria now has cards to make things easier for our youngest students. The students are enjoying the morning meeting we’re covering manners, building people skills, and giving eye contact. We’re already seeing great results!

Better Together
The Word of the Week
Its been a great 2nd week of school at Malakoff Elementary. The morning traffic flow issue has been resolved! Thank you to district Police Chief Stacy Hillhouse for coming up with the idea and to our maintenance department, Andy Gunstanson, for making the signs to direct traffic. This week's morning pep rallies have been geared toward RESPECT, and it has been awesome! The kids are doing great and really embracing school with everyone very engaged in learning. The teachers are continually working very hard to help your children be successful, so when you see a teacher, give them a fist bump and tell them thank you! We really are "BETTER TOGETHER"!!!
