Entr’acte Summer Sessions
This Sunday, Fr Thompson will conclude his series of expository reflections on the Psalms with a look at Psalm 3. After a break for the Labor Day holiday weekend, Entr’acte will resume on September 11 with the start of a four-week series on “Understanding Anglo-Catholicism”.

Entr’acte meets in the Library following the 9am Mass. Childcare is available in Moseley Hall.

New Advent Logo
The Advent’s website was last revised in 2015 – a long time in the life of a parish, but an eternity in web technology, so it was high time for an overhaul. In January of this year the Vestry engaged the consulting firm of Beck & Stone to develop a new design for the website that would serve the purposes of inquirers, newcomers, and parishioners alike. The site will have an entirely new look and feel and will integrate some new features, such as a volunteer-scheduling module and sermon podcasts. The project is nearly complete, and we hope to launch the new site at the beginning of September.
Coffee Hours

This Sunday's hosts are Debbie Smith at 9am and Hannah Bhatty and Gabriel Ellsworth at 11am.

Coffee hour is a service to one another, as well as a welcome to newcomers. It would be helpful if each parish family hosted once a quarter spending between $30- 50 providing simple snacks. You may also sign up here.
Sunday Morning Childcare
PROFESSIONAL CHILDCARE is provided in Moseley Hall during the 9am and 11am Masses. The caregivers are also available to watch children during Entr’acte.

Parents at the 11am Mass are kindly requested to keep their children with them in church after Communion, so that the nursery area can be cleared before Coffee Hour begins.
Tuesday Community Supper Volunteers
Please consider serving at the supper one Tuesday a month. The supper’s hours are 5:30 to 6:30 PM. Volunteers should plan to arrive between 4:30 and 5:00 and stay until 7:00 PM. Contact Karen Harrington with dates you are available: kharrington@theadventboston.org.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study – Summer Break
The Wednesday morning Bible Study with Fr Adams is in recess until September.
Women of the Advent
All women of the parish are invited to a light supper and fellowship following the 6:00 pm Healing Mass on the first Wednesday of the month. The next supper will be Wednesday, September 7. Please contact Maggie Westberg at westberg.ma@gmail.com to let her know you will be attending.
2022 Boston Bach Organ Competition
The 2022 Boston Bach International Organ Competition begins on Sunday, September 4 and runs through Sunday, September 11. The competition consists of recitals at venues around Greater Boston. Free recitals by the competitors will be held at the Advent on September 7 and 8, and there will be a ticketed recital by a competition judge on September 9. Disaster Relief for the South and West
The floods and wildfires in southern and western parts of the US are impacting thousands of people who have lost homes and livelihoods.
