Church Family Baptism & BBQ

Sunday, August 30th @ 12:30 - 3:00
Hosted at Calvin & Deborah Estey's (328 River Road)

Please plan to join us this Sunday afternoon for our church family bbq & baptism. We are looking forward to celebrating with Calvin and Deborah as they walk through the waters of baptism.

For the BBQ, the church will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, pop, disposable dishes and hand sanitizer. Please bring a salad or a dessert for your own family if you wish to have something with your hamburger and hot dog. Salads and desserts will not be shared. We will not have access to a fridge, stove or oven. Place your food in a cooler if you need to keep it cool. Thank You!

Everything will be in the back yard so please bring your own lawn chair. Bring your swimsuit if you are interested in swimming in the pool.

Please note: The bbq is weather permitting since everything will be outside. The baptism will happen rain or shine. A decision will be made on Friday concerning the bbq.

We will have the baptism at 12:45 sharp. We will eat at 1 PM.

Public health protocols will be practiced.
Fall is almost here and that means that small groups are about to start up again. This year we are continuing to move toward a small group culture where every group is experiencing authentic community, growing in gospel centred disciple making and engaged in a mission in our region.

Jim and Sheila Dillon will be transitioning their Sunday night group to a Missional Community starting on Sunday, September 27th. The group will meet at the church at 6 PM for a shared meal and a focused time of equipping using the book, Discipleship Uncomplicaterd. Author Warren Haynes writes using understandable terms describing in easy steps what we have to do to make disciples. Making disciples is not a spiritual gift reserved for a few elite Christians. It is the spiritual mandate Jesus gave to all His followers. Whether you are an introverted wall flower or an over the top people person, Discipleship Uncomplicated delivers exactly what you need to start influencing people for Jesus.

If you are interested in joining this group please speak to Jim or Sheila. (459-4382).

You can purchase your copy of the book in paperback or kindle by CLICKING HERE.

If you would prefer to have the church order the book for you please let Jim or Sheila know by September 16th. You can reimburse the church when the book arrives.

Information on a second Missional Community Group will be announced soon.

We Would Love To Have You Join Us In-Person This Sunday

Your safety and well being are our primary concern - so here are some things you need to know about attending in-person this week.

Entering the building
  1. Entrance to the building will be closed until 15 minutes prior to the start of the service.
  2. A volunteer will ask you to self screen before you enter the building. If you are experiencing two or more symptoms associated with COVID-19 we kindly ask that you not attend service until you are feeling better.
  3. We encourage you to wear a community mask when you are not in your seat and while singing. If there is a reason why you cannot, we will understand. If you forget to bring your community mask, we have a few available for $10 each. Proceeds help with Food Insecurity (Boaz Ministries).
  4. A volunteer inside the entrance will ask you to use hand sanitizer as soon as you are inside the building, you will be asked to sign-in giving your name and phone number, and then proceed directly to the celebration centre, or to children's check-in.

Entering the Celebration Centre (Sanctuary)
A volunteer will help guide you to your preferred row in the celebration centre. Please fill rows from the far left to the right in order to maximize our seating capacity.

Please leave three empty seats between family/friend bubbles. A family/friend bubble consists of anyone you would normally spend time with on a regular basis.
