Updated St. Rita School Re-Opening Schedule
Dear St. Rita School Families and Teachers,
Yesterday’s severe weather/tornado, which struck the Hamden/North Haven area, caused St. Rita School to lose power and internet for part of the day today. This meant that the teacher professional development on health and safety and social emotional learning was cancelled. In addition, the cleaning of our gym and office space was also impacted. In order to schedule the 2 days of teacher PD next week and the final school cleaning we are adjusting the school schedule for August 31-September 9 as follows:
Monday, August 31- Teacher Professional Development-No School
Tuesday, September 1- Teacher Professional Development-No School
Wednesday, September 2-Grades PreK3, 1, 4, and 7 ONLY from 8:15-12:15 (PreK 8:30-12:00) Bring supplies and learn the new routines. Teacher PD in the afternoon.
Thursday- September 3-Grades PreK4, 2, 5, and 8 ONLY from 8:15-12:15 (PreK 8:30-12:00). Bring supplies and learn the new routines.
Thursday-September 3 Remote Learners Book and Technology Device Pick-Up
· Last names ending in A-H from 1:00-2:00
· Last names ending in I-Z from 2:00-3:00
Friday, September 4-Grades Kindergarten, 3, and 6 ONLY from 8:15-12:15. Bring supplies and learn the routines.
Monday, September 7-No School Labor Day Holiday
Tuesday, September 8- Early Dismissal Day. All in person and remote students in/on-line school from 8:15-12:15 (PreK 8:30-12:00). The before care program will be open. There will be no aftercare or lunch.
Wednesday, September 9- Early Dismissal Day. All in-person and remote students in/on-line school from 8:15-12:15 (PreK 8:30-12:00). The before care program will be open. There will be no aftercare or lunch.
Thursday, September 10 and Friday, September 11- Return to Full Days of School. All in-person and remote students in/on-line from 8:15-2:45 and PreK from 8:30-2:40. Lunch will be served and both before and aftercare will be available.
