Step-Up Sunday, the day children and youth advance a Sunday school grade and regular programming resumes, is this Sunday,August 6. Children's Sunday School and Youth Formation will both meet at 10:00 through Labor Day. It's also SNOW CONE SUNDAY!

We are helping to secure affordable housing in our many Phoenix metro communities -Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and Tempe. Headlines and stories reinforce this increasing crisis for families. We have been working with families, housing developers and municipal leaders to share the issue and work together to find solutions. Would you like to part of this action? Everyone experiences grief differently, but having skills to process life after loss can make life bearable and hopefully, life giving. Our Grief Support Group meets Monday, August 7, at 6:30 via Zoom and is facilitated by a psychologist and Dayspring member. It introduces the skills needed to help facilitate healing. Taizé brings a time for contemplative worship which involves sung and chanted prayers, meditation, a period of silence, liturgical readings, and icons - it is a quiet opportunity for unhurried, deep personal connection with God. The next Taizé Service will be held in Fellowship Hall on Sunday, August 20 at 4:00pm.

Whether you’re new to Dayspring or have been attending for a while, we invite you to attend a one-hour session with Pastor Jeff to learn more about the UMC and Dayspring, specifically, on Sunday, August 20 at 11:45am. We will meet both in-person in Room 112 and Zoom. We will also host a New Member Orientation on August 21 at 2:00pm at Friendship Village. Come to Dayspring on Friday, August 25 for an ice cream social with sundae bar. Be sure to wear your comfy clothes and bring snacks, sleeping bags, and stuffed animals, because after ice cream we will cozy up on the floor of Fellowship Hall for a family movie night. The ice cream social starts at 6:30 and movie starts at 7pm.

Living in the desert, we experience the direct connection between water and life. Saving water is an act of love and hope for God’s creation and future generations. The S.A.G.E. team (Spiritual Activists Greening the Earth) encourages Dayspring members to adopt at least two new actions or habits this year to protect God’s sacred creation.
